1. What is TPE material?
TPE English name is Thermoplastic Elastomer, referred to as TPE, Chinese name: 1,1,2,2-tetrastyrene, also one of thermoplastic elastomers. TPE is a material with high elasticity, high strength, high resilience and the characteristics of injection molding, which has environmental protection, non-toxic safety, wide hardness range, excellent coloring property, soft touch, weather resistance, fatigue resistance and temperature resistance. It has excellent processing performance, no need for vulcanization, and can be recycled to reduce costs. It can be used for double injection molding. And it also can be coated with a base material such as PP, PE, PC, PS or ABS, or it can be molded separately.
2.What is the material characteristics of TPE?
TPE extruded pellets comprise of round and slender with the four kind of common colors of natural, transparent, highly transparent and black, or custom colors. TPE material has good chemical stability, good chemical resistance, general solvent resistance, UV resistance, temperature resistance -60-80 °C. TPE is a functional elastomeric material based on SEBS substrate and compounded with different formulation components. Therefore, the hardness range is wide (Shore 0-100A). With the processing properties of thermoplastics and the physical properties of vulcanized rubber, TPE can be said to be a combination of advantages of plastics and rubber, which can also be directly injection molded without vulcanization. TPE is a top-level environmentally friendly material. Does not add phthalate plasticizers and stabilizers, in line with foreign EU ROHS, REACH, EN71-3, ASTM-963, NP, PAHS, and FDA environmental standards directives.
3. What are the advantages of TPE materials?
3. 1 It can be processed by general thermoplastic molding machine without special processing equipment.
3. 2 The production cycle is short, no vulcanization is required, and production efficiency is accelerated.
3. 3 100% can be recycled and reused, saving resources and reducing environmental pollution.
